Feature Fridaze

Let me start by saying...this is way overdue. I got a little wrapped up in vacations, school ending and all sorts of other things, and took a little break from blogging so much and from keeping up with Feature Fridaze. However, I'd really like to start it up again, so...

Here Goes!

These first three features are from last March. When I started writing this post. Oops.

Better late than never, right?

First is a Baby Announcement Wall Quilt by Jo at Boogaloo. Can you imagine a better keepsake?

And for Spring, there is this $5 Kite Wreath by Carlee at Ladybird Ln. So fresh and cute!

I've been thinking a lot about party planning lately (both of my kids' birthdays are in August). This Ballerina Party from The Joys of Home Educating is too too sweet!

I really adore this Sewing Roll by Sew, Ray, Me. First of all, it's such a great idea! I'd love to take my sewing stuff with me on vacay. Second, she made it look so cute! The colors, the ribbon, everything is perfect.

Check out these Knock-Off T-Shirts with Templates by Lina at Fancy Frugal Life. They remind me of when I lived in Maryland as a little girl. Crabs, sailing, swimming the Chesapeak Bay...and perfect for the Fourth of July!

Feature Fridaze

Happy Friday everyone! I skipped last week since I just got back from being out of town, but I found a few great features this week!

Now that spring is here (yay!), I've been thinking about new clothes. I've never been all that successful at making my own clothes, since they always turn out looking, rather, um, homemade. But these ladies below did an excellent job of whipping up something fabulous.

First is this MacIntosh Knock-off Dress by Rachel at Maybe Matilda (in pink and green). Like I said, fabulous, right?

I'm finally getting over my fear of accessorizing. These flowers made from tights by Tatum at K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Sister) are the perfect embellishment!

And finally, this Anthropologie Sqeezebox Top by Sarah at Welcome to the Good Life is an amazing knock-off! I finally visited my first Anthropologie store and it was way cute!

Thanks so much for the inspiration ladies! Take a button:

Feature Fridaze {St. Patrick's Edition}

I've really fallen behind on the St. Patrick's Day crafts. I love the holiday and I'm super proud of our Irish family history (you won't find a bigger redhead lover), but the holiday fell between 2 vacations and I kinda needed a little break anyway.

But, I did take the time to stockpile some ideas for next year!

First up are these adorable Patty Cakes by Mom's of All Trades. Doesn't she have some amazing attention to detail? I find myself not making stuff like this because I don't want to dirty up so many bowls, but this one would be worth it!

Check out these amazing St. Patrick's Cupcakes by Jo at Frosted Happy. Not only do they look amazing, but if you read the recipe they sound like they taste amazing too! Just looking around Jo's blog makes my mouth water!

I love dipping marshmellows in stuff. It's kinda my standby party treat. I wish Spring Break didn't fall on St. Patrick's Day or I would definitely be taking these Shamrock Marshmellow Pops by Poca Cosa to my son's school!

I've been really into making new clothes for Kiki lately, and this "No Pinching" Bandanna Dress by Susan at Living with Punks (with tutorial!) is going on my list. It's perfect for St. Patty's Day, but it would also be adorable all summer long. One in every color, perhaps?

Finally, I love this St. Patricks's Burlap Wreath by Allie at Miss Lovie (another tute!). She actually made the flowers interchangeable so that you can switch them out with the seasons. Want another reason I love this? She shows you a close-up shot of each type of flower she made. So helpful! And the addition of the bunting just puts it over the top.

Well done ladies! I will be very prepared for next year!

Don't forget to grab a button!

Feature Fridaze

I know I took the last couple of weeks off, but I'm back and ready to feature some great crafts!

First, I found this Hair Bow Holder Lamp from Rebecca at This Present Life. Not only is this an adorable idea, but I love her mission behind her blog. She's striving to "be present and just exist" in her life. I lesson I sometimes need to learn! And I love the milkware base!

Check out these Silhouette Shoe Shapes from Jaime at Her Hobby. She used her Silhouette to cut 2 halves of a butterfly and then put them in her daughter's shoes. What an awesome idea to help her little one remember which foot goes in which shoe!

Isn't this a beautiful Envelope Clutch with Ruffles? It's from Jessica at Me Sew Crazy, but I found it when it was featured on The Girl Creative. The mixture of patterns is so pretty, and I love the little peek of ruffle fabric. I have to get my hands on some!

It's been a week since I first saw this Rainbow Wreath from Wendy at Ramblings from the Sunshine State, and I've thought of it every day since. What can I say? It's the perfect blend of color, cuteness, and spring-time cheer!

Great job ladies! Please grab a button!

Feature Fridaze

I have found some great things around the web this week (due mostly to the fact that I've had lots of time to search since being snowed-in).

I love knock-offs. Check out what Jen at Scissors & Spatulas did with her Knock-Off Nursery Decor. Isn't this amazing? Such a shame that when her baby is two, he's just going to rip it all apart (oh wait, I'm thinking of my own little beastie)...

Even more than knock-offs, I love upcycling. Melissa at Bursts of Creativity did this awesome Tea Tin Makeover. The main reason this knocked my socks off is because she is a master at layering! That's not easy to do without sliding into "just junk" territory (a place I've been many times). Great job Melissa!

Next, from Ali at Away We Go... is this adorable Spice Rack Button Holder. What a great idea! And it really kills me that I just threw out my old spice rack! Argh!

Finally, there is this Mickey Mouse Birthday Balloon Wreath from Debbie at Confessions of a Plate Addict. I don't really think I need to say anything here...it's pretty obvious that it's awesome. Can you imagine showing up to a party with that on the door? You would know you are definitely in for a good time! BTW--I never thought I would be a cat person, but since getting little Indiana I have totally crossed over. And Debbie has some adorable cats herself!

Feature Fridaze

So...Linky Tools has decided to start charging. I don't think that's a bad idea on their part. I mean, EVERYBODY uses it, they might as well try to make a little money, right? However, I'm just not ready to commit to buying a year's worth of service right now. So, I'm changing my Linky Fridaze to:

I will take the best of what I've seen all week and feature it on Fridays. I am constantly blog-hopping and I love to create lists of what I like!

Now, for last week's features:

I LOVE this top made by Creative Mommas. I was literally trying to come up with an Eiffel Tower design for a shirt I wanted to redo when (like magic!) this appeared. It's perfect!

Next up is the adorable baby quilt from Flexible Dreams. If you've never quilted, but you've wanted to, just do it! It's so much easier than you would think. I was really intimidated for years, then a year ago I took a basic quilting class and I've been on a roll ever since! I love the colors of this quilt:

And look what FabuLESSly Crafty did with these thrifted wooden sticks! I went to Goodwill last weekend thinking I might find something as good to makeover (I might have, if I get to working on it):

And finally, Craft Goodies made this great Rolled Rosette Pillow. It's the perfect project for some jersey scraps I have:

Thanks so much ladies! Grab a button and I'm excited to start the new Feature Fridaze next week!
