What HAVE we been up to?

Our house is sold! It was only on the market for 13 days! And we are closing on it and our new house at the end of February. I really want to put in the link to the virtual tour but it has the address of our new house in it, so probably not a great idea! Hopefully everyone will get to come over and hang out soon enough. It is a lot larger and will be a lot better for entertaining and playdates (there is a park right outside the front door!), so I want to have people over often!

The last couple of weeks, we have mostly been cleaning cleaning cleaning for all the showings we had of the house. Of course, as soon as I heard it was sold, I have gone back to my usual cluttery ways! It was nice while it lasted though!

Last week was designated January Ice Storm week (gotta have one a year!). We hung out inside and made some pillow forts:

At one point, Finn told me he was ready to go out in the snow. This is how he dressed himself:

I eventually did let him out, but he only lasted a few minutes, because he insisted on taking his boots off! I don't know why he wants to run around outside in bare feet!

Funny note: My father actually DOES wear his sunglasses at night and in the house. In fact, I think it's only for special occasions that he takes them off the holder around his neck!

I've really noticed that Kinley and Finn are forging a relationship lately. Finn's been really affectionate with her this week, giving her kisses, hugs, and including her in our games (She's Boots when we play Diego and Dora). It's really cute when she's taking a nap and he asks me where she is. She is pretty in love with him too. She loves watching him play and doesn't even mind when he starts pulling on her. But she IS pretty easy going anyway...

Changes a comin'

I have been terribly neglectful of the blog lately because we have put our house on the market! We have been busy busy busy moving things around and cleaning. Actually, I just got done shampooing my carpets! I wanted to post a picture with the sign in the yard, but then I felt a little strange putting a pic of my house on the internet! We've been talking about moving for awhile and it really seems like the time is right. I know the market isn't great at the moment, but we're in no rush, so we just thought we'd put it out there and see if we get any bites. The best part--I have a reason to go look at houses! I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at homes and now I have an excuse to. In fact, our realtor is taking us out tomorrow to check out a few!

Finn's First Day at Gymnastics

Finn started gymnastics today. We were all very excited. He's taking it with his friend Noah, and even though they aren't in the same class, they are there at the same time and can still play a little together! It was really cool. Finn's teacher, Miss Sara, was really great with all the kids and didn't mind that Finn likes to wander. I think Finn might even have a crush on her! Anyway, it was super fun and we can't wait for next week!
