Changes a comin'

I have been terribly neglectful of the blog lately because we have put our house on the market! We have been busy busy busy moving things around and cleaning. Actually, I just got done shampooing my carpets! I wanted to post a picture with the sign in the yard, but then I felt a little strange putting a pic of my house on the internet! We've been talking about moving for awhile and it really seems like the time is right. I know the market isn't great at the moment, but we're in no rush, so we just thought we'd put it out there and see if we get any bites. The best part--I have a reason to go look at houses! I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at homes and now I have an excuse to. In fact, our realtor is taking us out tomorrow to check out a few!

Finn's First Day at Gymnastics

Finn started gymnastics today. We were all very excited. He's taking it with his friend Noah, and even though they aren't in the same class, they are there at the same time and can still play a little together! It was really cool. Finn's teacher, Miss Sara, was really great with all the kids and didn't mind that Finn likes to wander. I think Finn might even have a crush on her! Anyway, it was super fun and we can't wait for next week!

End of Year Wrap-Up

How can I begin to describe 2008? It was PHENOMENAL! Above all, I realized just how lucky I have it this year. As everything came sort of crashing down all over the country, I just felt so thankful for all that I have--My kids, my husband, my family, my friends. It amazes me that you really NEVER STOP LEARNING! I've learned a lot about what it means to be grateful in 2008 and hopefully I can always apply that and keep things in perspective.

Christmas 2008

We had an amazing (and exhausting) Christmas! I'm kinda glad it's all over just because I've barely sat down all week! Finn got some great toys, but I think his absolute favorite is his Handy Manny tool bench. He drags the tools all over the house! He loves to fix the things on the bench too. I wasn't sure if he would like it, but it's a winner!

I have never felt more parental than I did on Christmas Eve this year. All we wanted to do was relax, but instead we spent a couple of hours putting together toys. Poor Scott, all he wanted to do was play chess!:

Christmas Countdown

We went to a "Little" party on Thursday and had so much fun! My friend Tonya gave them each sock monkeys that they really loved! Kinley let me know this by putting it directly in her mouth (the ears are just the right size for chewing). She also made some pretty rad scrapbooks for the kids. I don't know how Tonya finds the time to be so amazing!

We also celebrated my Father-in-Law's birthday on Saturday. Finn was right by his side to help him with all his candle-blowing and cake-eating needs! We ended up giving him an entire side of the cake because he kept sticking his fingers in it.
